A quick update for our arboreal friends.Mission Bhartiyam is an organisation working for Peace, Human Rights and the Environment. It started an annual initiative named 'Tree for Harmony' last year to club the Peace and Environment together and to mark a tree as a symbol of harmony. 'The Tree for Harmony' is observed from 16 September (World Ozone Day) to 21 September (World Peace Day).
The organisation is actively committed to observe the event in 2013. They are seeking collaborators who can organize the same at their end. Any organization willing to organize may send an email at missionbhartiyam@gmail.com, and Mission Bhartiyam will include its name as collaborator.
The collaborator is expected to plant a tree(s) labelled 'The Harmony tree' at schools,workplaces,parks etc, followed by a community activity to spread the message of peace and environmentalism. Activities could range from a debate,essay,cultural dance,talk show,quiz and pamphlet distributions to various others.
The deadline to mail the report and photographs at missionbhartiyam@gmail.com is 25th September. Photographs may also be send during the 16th to 21st September timeline along side the relevant details (name of organizer, place, date) at their email address for circulation on social media websites.
