Weed isnt all that bad. That is what the Dutch would like us to believe. Hemp is a fiber that comes from the cannabis plant and is known for its tensile strength. In Amsterdam, it was recently used to make a prototype of the first electric hemp scooter by Dutch developers.
This amusing prototype is called 'The Be.e'. Be.e runs fully on electric power,clocking in up to 25kph, travelling upto 80 kilometers when fully charged.
With a monocoque structure made entirely out sustainable materials, Be.e is touted as a sustainable alternative.
Interestingly no steel, glass fiber, or carbon fiber was used to make the scooter's support structure. This technique has been used in high ends ports cars, but is newly applied to a two wheeler.
